The Eighties
CIM starts designing and producing its first electronic card personalization machines.

1997
CIM move its plant in Lippo di Calderara, a few kilometers from Bologna, Italy.

1999
Opening of the new commercial offices in Miami Florida. CIM Usa, immediately successful, is still completely dedicated to the American market.

2004
CIM printers have been chosen by the Italian Ministry of Interior to personalize ID cards.

2005
CIM has been chosen from the automobile market. Brand leaders in this market relay in CIM for supplying metal tags for car components identification (CIM today is cooperating with Nissan, Daewoo, Fiat etc.)

2008
CIM launch his new Metal Embosser 2D Data Matrix Series, an extremely innovative solution for Industrial Marking Application requiring automatic Data Collection.
CIM strengthens his presence in the Financial Market introducing the ideal solution for Banks and Credit Institutions related to Instant Issuance.

2011
CAM 8080 strike the market: an innovative and powerful machine that, together with the MAILER, places the card on the carrier, folds and envelopes.

2014
Cim is now among the approximately 12,000 companies and non-business organizations who have signed the UN Global Compact. The UN Global Compact is a United Nations strategic policy initiative, officially launched in 2000 by Kofi Annan, to encourage businesses worldwide to embrace sustainable and socially responsible policies, and to report on their achievement.

2017
CIM launches the ML2000, a fully integrated LASER MARKING SYSTEM for metal tags. A high definition, crisp laser mark with excellent contrast.

2018
CIM has been rewarded by obtaining the Integrated Quality Management System ISO certification, a unique management of quality, environment and safety at work, in compliance with the standards: UNI EN ISO 9001: 2015UNI EN ISO 14001: 2015UNI EN ISO 45001: 2018

2019
Cim introduces the XE SERIES a new solution designed for central card issuance and Cim introduces BChainLogmanager a new software for log management based on block chain technology.

2020
The METAL PLATE SYSTEMS (MPS) product line, designed for the metal plates personalization, is completely updated: brand new design, performance and reliability are increased for the whole range of products.
CIM ranks within 25% of companies that have obtained the best Ecovadis evaluations. A selected percentage of companies that, in accordance with the Ecovadis evaluation criteria, operate in a highly responsible way.

2022

CIM introduce Power Web Service, a new Application Programming Interface (API) developed to enable the integration of CIM Metal Plate Systems (MPS) with customer's production systems & lines, allowing an ease and intuitive operation.
